Our Origin & Mission

The Story Behind
My Mind Matters Therapy

My Mind Matters Therapy began with a simple belief: everyone deserves to be heard, understood and connected.

After witnessing the profound impact communication challenges have on older Australians, speech pathologist founder Amelia Griffin set out to create flexible, evidence-based digital tools that empower individuals across Australia and beyond.

The Words That Changed Everything

“Don’t waste your time on me. My mind doesn’t matter anymore.”

A resident living with Parkinson’s disease shared these words with Amelia. They became the foundation of our mission—to ensure every person knows that their mind does matter.
